About this property

Located just a stones short distance from the beach, Herring House is a fantastic seaside hideaway for a family or friends looking to explore Suffolk. Enter into the spacious entrance hall leading to the sitting room/dining room, with and kitchen beyond and ground floor shower room. The sitting/dining room offers a space to retreat too whilst enjoying the TV. The kitchen is well-fitted with loads of amenities, so why not cook up a storm and enjoy your masterpiece at the dining table, located within arms reach of the kitchen. Located at the rear of the ground floor is the shower room, perfect for washing off those sandy toes after a day at the beach. Upstairs are three light and airy bedrooms, a king, twin, and single. An enclosed rear garden offers a quiet spot to read in the sunshine with a cup of tea or glass of something bubbly. Situated on the “Sunrise coast” and with local shops, pubs and eateries, Kessingland is a great location to begin your Suffolk adventure. You can enjoy a hearty meal, check out local produce, or try out fishing, and there is also the fantastic Africa Alive Zoological Reserve housing many amazing animals. With a stunning local beach, try out watersports, wild swimming or simply paddle along the waves and take in the salty air and scenic views. There are many more beaches nearby, and nature enthusiasts will love a trip to Dunwich Heath and RSPB Minsmere, ideal locations for birdwatching. There is also a selection of museums within easy reach, including East Anglia Transport Museum, Lowestoft Museum and Beccles & District Museum, as well as walks through the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests can also visit the fantastic seaside town of Southwold. There is something for everyone with a stay at Herring House

Located on the Suffolk coast, Pakefield is a suburb of Lowestoft, however it was historically a village in its own right and is home to the parish church of All Saints and St Margarets. Pakefield has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a real fish and chip shop, and is home to The Seagull Theatre, as well as an art gallery. Nearby Lowestoft is a traditional seaside resort with a wide range of amenities including the Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, whilst south of Pakefield is the coastal town of Southwold, famous for its pier, busy harbour and the colourful beach huts which line the seafront. Pakefield is a good touring base for all of East Anglia including the Norfolk Broads and the cathedral city of Norwich.
