Set in Reydon, just 1 mile from highly fashionable Southwold, the three-bedroom property welcomes six guests eager to enjoy both the countryside and the coast. Head into town to browse in the independent shops or dine out in a gastropub. Paddle and swim from the sandy beach, with its famous row of colourful huts, then pick up some fish and chips to eat on the seafront or pier. The pier, which is 1.5 miles from the cottage, is famous for its quirky displays and interactive under-the-pier show. Enjoy a 2.5-mile walk down to the quay to go crabbing, buy fresh seafood or board the pedestrian ferry across the river to Walberswick. Take the children to Southwold Maize Maze and the adults on a tour of the Adnams Brewery, both 1.5 miles away.
Step inside the pretty cottage and you’ll find plenty of space to store your footwear and hang coats. Head on through to the sunlight-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can throw open the doors to the garden and recline on the sofa to catch up on your day. Choose a good book, find a gripping film to watch together on the Smart TV or play a lively holiday game. The adjoining kitchen provides plenty of space for food storage and preparation. Rustle up tasty snacks and meals from the delicious produce you have bought, then carry them over to the dining table in the main room. You also have a handy ground-floor shower room for rinsing off the salty seawater. The family bathroom, which has Jack and Jill access to the king-size bedroom, is up on the first floor. All your bedrooms are also here. These include a twin, with its own shower cubicle and handbasin, and the king-size, which adjoins the bunk bedroom, making it ideal for families. The bunk bedroom also has its own door.
Spill out into the sunny garden as often as possible. Watch the children play on the lawn while you relax on the wooden bench under the Suffolk sky. There is parking for one car opposite the cottage and another space on the development, all subject to availability.
