Harbour Lights is highly praised for its stunning location, exceptional comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests consistently appreciate the property's cleanliness, proximity to the beach and Southwold town, and the cosy, welcoming atmosphere. While there are minor maintenance issues and occasional lapses in the provision of welcome gifts, the overall experience is delightful, with many guests eager to return.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it comfortable and well-kept. There are isolated mentions of a dirty toilet and dog hair, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is consistently lauded as fantastic, with direct beach access and proximity to local attractions. It's a highlight for many guests, contributing to the property's appeal.
Guests find the property very comfortable, with ample space, cosy furnishings, and large, comfy beds. The house's welcoming and homely feel is frequently mentioned, indicating a high level of comfort.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample amenities. However, there are some concerns about maintenance, such as issues with a shower temperature control and a kettle, slightly lowering the score.
While many guests are pleased with the thoughtfulness of the property, including touches like a bottle of champagne, there are comments about the inconsistency of welcome gifts. It's important to note that while such gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.
Gazing out across the dunes of Southwold, Suffolk, Harbour Lights is a seaside retreat, newly refurbished and perfect for groups of friends or families. Park off-road in the ample spaces provided and even use the EV port provided and take in the spectacular seaside views this property has to offer. Be welcomed into the sitting room, where you can warm your feet beside the woodburning stove and catch up on some reading, or when the weather is warmer, open the glass doors and let in the sea air, giving you easy access to the garden where dining alfresco is a must.
When mealtimes call, the contemporary kitchen, outfitted with green cupboards and stylish furniture, open-plan and connecting to the sitting and dining area through an archway, this is the perfect spot to cook together, as well as a social hub for all guests to enjoy. A handy utility takes care of your sandy clothes as you get cosy for the night in one of the four bedrooms, including two super-king-sizes and two twins, and each one is tastefully decorated. Climb over the dunes, hearing the swish of the grasses and the crashing of the waves as you enjoy a stroll along the shore of Southwold, maybe even trying out watersports or daring to wild swim.
When in need of a hot meal, travel over to Southwold town centre, where a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants welcome you to try local produce, and there is a selection of independent shops to explore. For more walks, head over to the seaside town of Aldeburgh, where there is also a museum, and if it is history that you love, there is no shortage of castles in Suffolk, including Framlingham and Orford Castle. Fall in love with the seaside of Suffolk with a stay at Harbour Lights.

We were very lucky with the weather and able to walk along the beach into Southwold. Also walked to Walberswick for a delicious Sunday lunch at The Bell. Lovely house with everything you need for 8 people.

The kitchen was well equipped so that we could cook Christmas dinner and the lounge was open plan with the kitchen which meant that all were included. The garden backs out to the sand dunes which was fabulous for our 2 dogs who could literally go straight out the back off their leads. They had a great time on the dunes and the beach. My mum who is can only walk short distances, managed to get to the beach from the house using the back gate to get some of that much needed sea air. The beds were so comfortable we were out like a light every evening. We had the best time. Can only imagine what it's like in the summer as the garden backing onto the beach must be great!
Sue
Brilliant position for winter walks on the beach. The house is extremely comfortable & was very clean on our arrival. The mince pies were a bonus we didnât expect. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, could probably done with a higher tog duvet for our December stay. Such a wonderful place to stay in Southwold weâve booked again for next year.
