About this property

Located on Babbacombe's main road, opposite an award-winning fish and chip shop and just a short walk from a selection of shops plus the beach at Babbacombe Sands, is this cosy and compact, end-of-terrace, 113 Babbacombe Road, ideal for a couple or family of three who want to explore Torquay and the south Devon coast. Entering the property through the side gate, passing a small courtyard sun trap garden with furniture, enter the property into the open-plan living/kitchen/dining space, with a well-equipped kitchen providing the amenities and appliances to help you cook up delicious meals, to be enjoyed at the dining table, while the sitting room offers a choice of sofa and armchair to relax onto and enjoy watching something on the wall-mounted TV. The property has nice laminate flooring throughout, and up the staircase are the two fresh, bright bedrooms; a double and a single, both with ample storage space and soundproof glazed windows, so you won't experience any outside noise, meaning you can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom completes the layout, with a shower cubicle, basin and WC, so you can start each day with a quick and refreshing rinse. There is parking available in the public car park, a 5-minute walk from the property, while a selection of shops for your amenities, as well as fish and chips shops, can be found on the same street as the property. A short distance away is the beach at Babbacombe Sands, as well as the popular attraction of Kent's Cavern, a network of prehistoric caves you can explore. Take a ride on Babbacombe Cliff Railway, which will bring you from the beach to the top of the cliffs, visit Bygones museum and the fascinating Babbacombe Model Village. Join the South West Coast Path on foot or bicycle and head towards Torquay, taking in Thatchers Rock Green park and garden, Thatchers Point lookout, Meadfoot Beach and Beacon Cove. Torquay, Babbacombe's livelier neighbour, on the English Riviera, has a picturesque harbour, lots of shopping and dining out opportunities, and must visit attractions Torquay Museum and Living Coasts zoo, while further along the coast brings you to a host of incredible sandy beaches around Paignton. With lots of day out opportunities from your doorstep, make 113 Babbacombe Road the base for your next south Devon holiday.

The peaceful village of Babbacombe is often referred to as the ‘Jewel in the crown of the English Riviera’, in South Devon. The beach resort is a superb, quieter alternative to its bustling neighbour, Torquay, and you canfind an array of things to do without the crowds of the people. Attractions include tennis, bowls, golf, putting and swimming, in addition to its picturesque gardens, the promenade and a wealth of shops, restaurants and cafés. A popular attraction includes the Babbacombe Model Village, which opened its doors in 1963 and today houses an indoor display, offering a superb attraction, all year round. Within 1.5 miles is the vibrant town of Torquay, boasting further attractions, including the ‘Living Coasts’ zoo. Babbacombe is a serene base for touring Devon.

Also a bigger sofa would be better as very hard to get comfortable on. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay .

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great communication with owner who was quick to reply to messages. I'd definitely go back there again

When we arrived it was clean and tidy. We had been left a bottle of wine and some fudge. Close to all amenities and the car park, which we were always able to park in. It’s best to pay for the week and you can park in other car parks across Torbay which is useful. Sandown had lots of equipment in the property, although would have liked a cheese grater. It even had tea towels, and washing up liquid that other properties we’ve booked in the past haven’t. Would thoroughly recommend it. Lovely stay and would go back.
