A pretty, semi-detached cottage located in the tranquil Shropshire village of Little Stretton, at the foot of the beautiful Long Mynd Hills and just a short distance from the popular Ashes Valley. Full of character and charm, this inviting accommodation has a wealth of beams throughout, a comfortable double bedroom, a woodburning stove in the sitting room and a pretty south-facing garden to the front, all creating the perfect atmosphere for a delightful stay. The surrounding countryside is renowned for its walking, riding, cycling, golfing, gliding and birdwatching opportunities, whilst the peace and tranquillity is perfect for those simply looking to relax and unwind. The village shop and an excellent pub/restaurant are close by, whilst the charming town of Church Stretton is just 1.5 miles north. Discover medieval Shrewsbury and Ludlow with their castles, quality shops and riverside walks or explore the Ironbridge museums and many National Trust properties within easy driving distance.
Little Stretton is the starting point for a popular ramble up the beautiful and rugged Ashes Hollow, which takes you to the top of the Long Mynd. From the top of the Mynd, which is covered in purple heather in the summer, walkers can descend to the National Trust shop in Cardingmill Valley before returning via Church Stretton. Across the main valley, a stiff climb to the marker post on Ragleth Hill will lead you to a lovely walk along its high ridge and to a more gradual descent into Church Stretton. Little Stretton is also within easy reach of other attractions in Shropshire, such as historic Shrewsbury, the market-tow of Ludlow and the ancient spectacle of Stokesay Castle.
