Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Bequia - REET cottage for its tranquil setting, beautiful decor, and cleanliness. The property offers a cosy atmosphere with a log fire and is well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Its remote location provides stunning views and is perfect for walking, though it requires a drive to local amenities. The hosts are noted for their friendliness, and the presence of their pets adds a charming touch.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'immaculately clean on arrival'. One minor comment about a dirty sugar container suggests room for improvement, but overall, the standard of cleanliness is very high.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with easy access to walking trails and stunning views. However, its remoteness and the condition of access roads, including potholes, are noted, which may affect convenience for some guests.

Comfort is a strong point for this cottage, with guests finding the beds comfy and the rooms cosy, especially with the log fire. The mention of low beam ceilings suggests a need for caution, but overall, the cottage provides a comfortable experience.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped and offering everything needed for a stay. There are suggestions for minor improvements such as hand wash in the kitchen and a shower mat, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.

While the reviews reflect a warm welcome and friendly interactions with the hosts, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location surrounded by rolling hills and fields. There is nothing around except nature. It is a place to go to relax and switch off from the world. The surrounding places to visit like Ironbridge and Shrewsbury are gorgeous. We really loved looking around them. We also went to the RAF museum and Shrewsbury prison, which were fantastic days out. Things I wasn’t so keen on were the many potholes in the roads leading up to the cottage and ended up with two flat tyres. It is hard to find the cottage with the postcode given so thing what3 words would make it easier for visitors.

The place was perfect for what we wanted. The setting was beautiful and very quiet. It was close to lots of beautiful walking in the Shropshire hills but also from the door. The fire and lots of games were a bonus on coming in after walking to be able to light the fire and settle in for the evening. Over all, I’d highly recommend this place for comfort, setting and surrounding areas.
