Steeped in history and full of charm, this Grade II listed former dairy dates to the 1600s and has been lovingly owned by the same family for a few generations.

Very nice (but with a flaw)Location is fantastic, getting away from it all - quite isolated, up miles of single track road, with farms all around - but only 10 mins drive from a mini-Asda if you need to shop. All set for a tranquil and peaceful break. Rental, basic but spacious and clean, is a part of a farmhouse, separated only by locked doors on ground and upper floors. So, the flaw: the farmer keeps dogs. Dogs that like barking - throughout the night…If you’re deaf, or getting hard of hearing, then this is the place for you. (NB - also if you’re 5’10” or more, there are doorways and beams to avoid, especially at night). We really enjoyed the county, the rolling countryside, the NT properties, the picturesque towns with good restaurants and cafes, the tranquil rural locale - so we’ll be back. Just not at this property.
