Hillside Lodge in Ludlow is highly praised for its stunning views, privacy, and tranquillity. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, clean, and comfortable lodge, with special mentions of the hot tub and outdoor cooking facilities. The location offers direct access to scenic walks, and the property is a short drive from local attractions. The thoughtful touches by the host, including a welcome cake, contribute to a memorable stay.

The location is celebrated for its outstanding views and proximity to walking paths and local towns. The remote setting is appreciated for its peace and quiet, although it requires a car for access to shops and markets.
Comfort is a highlight, with guests finding the lodge roomy and the furnishings and beds very comfortable. The peaceful environment adds to the overall comfort of the stay.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the hot tub and outdoor dining area. Some minor gripes about maintenance issues like the shower head and fridge shelf are noted, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of welcome treats such as cake and milk. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such gifts are a courtesy and may not be a standard offering for all stays.
Ludlow 6 miles. This wooden-clad lodge is set in a secluded location on the edge of the Shropshire Hills in the village of Bedlam, close to the historic town of Ludlow. Enjoying panoramic views over the Shropshire Hills and towards Worcester, Hillside Lodge is a well-equipped accommodation for families wanting to break away from everyday routines and relax within this idyllic part of the country. Impressive on the inside and out, internally the lodge has been tastefully renovated with laminate flooring and a number of comfortable furnishings, whilst outside there is a superb outdoor area where you can curl up beside the woodburning stove or enjoy a dip in the hot tub all while admiring those breath-taking views. The open plan living area is where everyone can gather to prepare a hearty feast from the well-equipped kitchen before enjoying a family film upon the sofa. Heading to bed you have two beautifully furnished bedrooms to choose from, one of which benefits from patio doors leading to the garden and offering those same views, which would be a real treat to wake up to! Why not make use of the undercover kitchen area with BBQ and serve a delicious selection of grilled goods? If you can bear to tear yourself away from this delightful dwelling then a trip to Ludlow is recommended, home to a magnificent 13th century castle, plus a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and its famous festivals throughout the year. Travel further afield to the impressive locations of Hereford and Shrewsbury, places with great history and interest to make your trip just that extra special. An exceptional holiday lodge to spend with your loved ones.
Ludlow is an ancient town with Georgian houses ascending from the river Teme to the great tower of the cross-shaped church. Standing proudly over the town is Ludlow Castle; witness to many a battle over the centuries but none so gripping as the title of ‘Festival Loaf’ at Ludlow Food Festival. Ludlow is known for its shopping, with a great selection of antique, arts and crafts shops and some retailers. There is also a good choice of eateries including a number of restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
