Purpose-built and utterly versatile, this lodge-style property is a hikers, bikers and fisherman’s paradise in the heart of rural Shropshire. It’s located on a fishing site with 20 acres of surrounding woodlands and grounds, with patio seating and a direct view of the ponds offering a tranquil place to start your morning with breakfast outside each day. Hosting four guests in total, the abode accommodates friends, families and couples seeking serenity in the countryside. Explore the Shropshire Hills close by (5.5 miles), spend time touring the fabulous towns of Ludlow (3.5 miles) and Leominster (8.5 miles) or get to know walks along the fabulous England-Wales border, 14 miles away.
Style and comfort have been skilfully blended in this single-storey property, a place with rustic wooden panelling complimented by neutral colours and modern appliances. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is your main space to relax in, home to a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table and breakfast bar for casual meals and a lovely lounge with soft seating, a wood burner and a Smart TV. Access to the patio is through French doors, ideal for summer nights. Indoors, two bedrooms are made up as a king-size and a super-king-size zip-and-link, both with en-suite facilities.
Filled with the area’s signature black-and-white timber buildings, Ludlow is a quality base for any break with walks in the Shropshire Hills available right on the outskirts. The town sits on the route of The Shropshire Way, a long-distance pathway of 200 miles that encompasses some of the very best scenery in the area. From the town, head on up to Clee Hills (10.5 miles) and onwards to Much Wenlock (23 miles) and Shrewsbury (30 miles). Another famed pathway is the Offa’s Dyke Path, accessible from the border town of Knighton 17.5 miles away.
