This 19th century, semi-detached chapel has been lovingly renovated and is in a picturesque village location, on the slopes of the Stiperstones Hill range in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Old Chapel has been fitted with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, many rooms have be restyled and both bathrooms have been completely redesigned with the addition of power showers, and bespoke hand-printed tiles.This Stiperstones cottage provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere and has retained many of its original chapel features, combined with country cottage-style furnishings, making it perfect for a family holiday or a romantic break. This charming Shropshire cottage has a first floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a large minstrels' gallery with a sofa and selection of books and games.
The ground floor of this Stiperstones cottage boasts two further bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely sitting room with a high ceiling and a traditional woodburning stove and dining area. The rear garden at this Stiperstones cottage has a patio and decked area, as well as your own private six-seater hot tub, and is perfect for relaxing after a day's walking, mountain biking or exploring this beautiful part of Shropshire. Church Stretton is a pretty market town in the heart of rural south Shropshire. Described as "Little Switzerland", the town is surrounded by stunning scenery and is the major part of Shropshire's hill country. The town offers a good selection of pubs, tearooms, and specialist shops, as well as other attractions including fantastic walking opportunities on the Long Mynd; the fascinating Acton Scott Working Farm, and the ancient Stokesay Castle. Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bishops Castle are all historic local towns with much to offer to visitors, and they are all an easy drive away from Church Stretton, as are the beautiful Welsh Borders.

The accomodation had been lovingly converted and the pictures do not do it justice. It's nestled into the beautiful Shropshire Countryside, walking distance of their fantastic pub and John's shop had everything we needed at amazing prices too. We all had such a lovely visit and we were all sad to be leaving- highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful Shropshire Hills. (Just don't bring a four year old who likes to play the organ at 6am every morning)

The hot tub made our stay extra special, set on a single track lane ( only down side was parking was incredible difficult, would advise to park at local pub if have large vehicle, medium SUV only just fit after many attempts) , 2 mins from the local pub ( the food was amazing)staff are very friendly, lots of local walks but didn't venture far this time. Keys are collected and returned to local pub, towels and essential provided.

Good technology - Wifi, Alexa, radios; at the same time as keeping original features - the reed organ from when the cottage was a Methodist chapel. Routes for lots of local walks and a book about the local history of the area.
