Guests say

The Old Coach House in Shrewsbury is highly praised for its tranquil location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy log burner, and thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and milk. The property's restoration retains charming features, and the enclosed garden is a hit with both children and pets. Despite a few mentions of steep stairs and a beam to step over, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with recommendations aplenty.

Reviews consistently mention the property being spotlessly clean and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness that guests appreciate.

The property's peaceful and tranquil setting is frequently highlighted, with its proximity to Shrewsbury and local attractions. The quiet village location is seen as a positive aspect, although one review mentioned a slight disappointment with the distance to the local pub.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. The presence of a ground floor bedroom with en suite is also noted for its convenience.

The property is praised for its excellent facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and constant hot water. However, the score is slightly lowered due to a mention of a tripping hazard and steep stairs.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful extras provided, such as milk, eggs, and toys for children. While these gifts are appreciated, it is politely noted that such extras, while delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Beautiful inside and out. The beds were so comfortable and having the ground floor bedroom suited us with an elderly guest. The sofas were a little too giving and soft for us but manageable for a weekend. Still a very cosy room. I’d recommend a torch in the property as it’s so dark in the evenings. There was a charger but we couldn’t locate it, so perhaps it’s been misplaced. I’d definitely go back! Added benefit of having horses there to say hello to, and only a short drive into the town.
