Orchard View at Oakleigh is also well-placed for many of Shropshires main attractions, such as historic Shrewsbury. Explore the lovely independent shops, cafes, and food markets throughout the year, the charming town of Ludlow or the imposing Stokesay Castle. Railway enthusiasts will appreciate the elegance of the Severn Valley Railway and the World Heritage Centre at Ironbridge is a must-visit. Pubs and restaurants 1¾ miles in the village of Pontesbury where there is a supermarket and other shops for your day-to-day essentials and local produce.

Beautiful well presented cottage with Terry & Mike next-door, who were on hand if we needed anything. Nice area to park the car close to cottage, good outside seating area with views over the orchard hung with fruit. Plenty of wildlife including pheasant & woodpecker. The cottage was very well appointed with everything we could need from kitchen equipment, towels, mini library, games & local leaflets for things to do. Comfortable bed, nice hot showers & really easy to use cooker. We spent most of the time in the conservatory enjoying the peace & quiet watching the clouds roll by. We enjoyed the brownies too!We couldn't of wished for a better place to stay & both of us were really sad to leave. We found the location not far from lots of attractions to visit with plenty more we didn't get round to visit, so we will go back!

Orchard View is in a rural location. It is quiet but easy to get to local villlages or to Shrewsbury. The rooms are a good size and the furniture and fittings are comfortable and nice quality. The conservatory looks out over the orchard and contains a comfortable sofa and the dining table. There is a table and chairs outside the conservatory and you can light this seating area in the evening. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds are comfortable. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and there is loads of storage. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and you would struggle to think of any equipment that isn't already provided. The hosts were very lovely. There are plenty of National Trust properties nearby and I would recommend a visit to Attingham Park. Walking in this part of Shropshire is great and many places are dog friendly. We had a quiet, relaxing and wonderful time and would loveto return to Orchard View the next time we visit the area.
