Guests say

Windy Mundy Farm is highly praised for its spaciousness, stunning location, and suitability for large groups, with special commendation for its well-equipped kitchen and impressive social areas. The property manager, Karen, is frequently mentioned for her helpfulness. While the property's charm and views are celebrated, guests note the need for maintenance, particularly the driveway and water pressure.

The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it warm, welcoming, and spotlessly clean upon arrival. However, there are a few mentions of areas needing attention, such as dusty webs and stained carpets.

The location is appreciated for its stunning views and peacefulness, suitable for those seeking a remote countryside experience. However, the state of the access road and its potholes have been a concern for some visitors.

Guests find the property comfortable, with cosy living spaces and comfy beds. However, some reviews mention that certain furniture pieces and mattresses could benefit from updating, and there are comments about the lack of hot water pressure affecting comfort.

The facilities are generally well-received, especially the kitchen equipment and social spaces. Nonetheless, guests have pointed out issues with water pressure, the condition of sofas, and the need for repairs in the games room, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with the property manager's communication and the provision of essentials upon arrival, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

It is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with pots pans plates etc. Facilities to make drinks on arrival are appreciated. The approach to the place is via pothole strewn track. The managers responded quickly when we had an issue. We have stayed here before so staying again is probably the best recommendation, however Sykes intransigence in not letting us correct a minor mistake in booking dates without incurring cancellation fees means we probably won't stay again,

This property is stunning and the views amazing and it is so remote and peaceful, the farm is well equipt with everything you need including dish washing tabs ,laundry tabs, bin bags, wash cloths and scourers, tea, coffee ,sugar, biscuits milk etc, everything is really well thought out. however we did have a few major niggles, the air vent in the kitchen is filthy, the "sumptuous" sofas are in a terrible sun bleached and stained condition and were extremely uncomfortable to relax on, there are an awful lot of blown windows which make it difficult to see the stunning views, while we were there for some reason none of the showers had hot water and could only achieve tepid water at most, the bedroom in the separate games room was absolutely freezing so had to add a heater that was found in another bedroom and also the shower in that complex only had cold water. the cleanliness unfortunately was not the best, some of the taps and shower hoses are terribly grimy especially room B and C, the microwave is truly gruesome, all the inside is rusted and it stank, curtains are ripped, there are mega dust webs everywhere and carpets have dog pee stains dotted about, but the biggest niggle was the path leading to the farm which is absolutely horrendous!! we understand this is a farm path with tractors passing through but a little hardcore to fill some of the many potholes would not go a miss, after two trips out we decided not to venture out for the rest of the week because it was just uncomfortable driving especially for the elder and pregnant who were in our family.

We stayed with friends for my husband’s 40th birthday & we were all blown away. The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you need, the rooms are spacious each having their own bathroom & the living room is really cosy, despite how big it is. We all had such a great weekend. Hopefully we’ll be back!!
