The town has its own Heritage Centre, itself dating back to the 12th century, many restaurants, traditional pubs and individual shops, as well as many sports facilities including golf courses, tennis courts and fishing. Just a short drive away is the birthplace of Sir William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, which is steeped in history and culture and lies on the banks of the River Severn.
