We had a lovely relaxing stay with our 2 teenage boys and dogs. After a busy summer we wanted a place to relax and this was just the ticket.The property is really well equipped, the orchard is lovely to explore and there is a brilliant farm shop and bakery nearby.

Charming peaceful accommodation. However, some areas need addressing. Lots of cobwebs behind furniture and underneath. The sofa was a breeding ground for fleas between the cushions, full of food crumbs and lots of dog hair. The shower was easily turned off by the basic movement of turning round. Likewise the temperature gauge could quite easily burn a child as the handle moved too freely when showering. The general feeling we got was of a property that was being neglected inside and out. The oven kept turning off and there were three buttons missing from the housing itself.We were very pleased when we approached the owner about the non existent Bluetooth speaker. He said it had been stolen some months before, BUT, he did replace it for us. So why not replace it before?!The beds while comfortable were again dusty and had spiders webs and dust underneath. The bedding was clean, albeit the pillowcases too small and kept coming off.

We had a fabulous 5 day stay at The Stables. A really quiet and relaxing place to stay, Lola, the dog, loved the orchard which was perfect for her to explore (at least 10 times a day!!). Jackson’s Bank which is only a 5 minute drive up the road was also perfect for dog walking. We used the farm shop down the road which had lovely produce, including delicious cakes!!
