Resting in an elevated position and overlooking the village of Ironbridge and the River Severn is this fabulous end-terrace cottage. Retaining its original features, with exposed brickwork and beams, along with contemporary finishes, this is a superb setting for a family of five's next Shropshire adventure. Upon arrival, take in those truly spectacular views over the river before parking up in the handy off-road spot and the secure garage; additionally, the garage has storage space for bikes and canoes, giving you more opportunities to partake in a variety of activities. Enter the property to find a marvellous kitchen/diner, where the chef of the group can cook to their heart's content on the fabulous gas range and the wealth of appliances available; close-by is a utility room with a handy washing machine! After enjoying dinner at the nearby dining table, continue to the bar room, where you can socialise and catch up about your riverside ramblings as the drinks flow! The sitting room awaits you upstairs, with a plush l-shape sofa, armchair and a large wall-mounted TV to enjoy a movie night with; the room has a characterful feel with its vaulted ceiling, stylishly painted beams and French doors that lead to a Juliet balcony. As the day draws to a close, choose between two fantastic bedrooms to enjoy a well-earned rest in, one being a king-size with ample built-in storage and an en-suite shower room, the other being a twin room with chic finishes and brilliant views out to the hills; the king-size is served by wall-mounted TV, perfect for those wanting more private entertainment. The family bathroom isn't far, with sleek, marble detailing and a bath with a convenient hand-held shower. Venture into Ironbridge to find your necessities, stop at The White Hart Restaurant for a relaxed atmosphere and fine dining before exploring the rest of the village. Walk down to the Iron Bridge to admire the fantastic vista, before learning of the region's history in the Museum of The Gorge and embarking on the walking trail to the Blists Hill Victorian Town where you can visit its Living Museum. Travel north to Telford and enjoy a tournament at the Horsehay Village Golf Centre, take the kids to the Exotic Zoo for a hands-on experience with animals or visit the magical Wonderland theme park for a day filled with rides and fun! Venture south to Bridgnorth and view the remains of Bridgnorth Castle and its Gardens, ascend the sandstone cliffs to Bridgnorth's High Town on its famed Cliff Railway and end the day with a scenic picnic at Severn Park. Be sure to visit the picturesque town of Shrewsbury with its ample independent shops, historical landmarks and stunning architecture; if you'd rather partake in more outdoors activities, travel further afield to the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is so much fun to be had in Shropshire from the excellent The Olde Drill House.
The former industrial village of Ironbridge Gorge is now a picturesque holiday location, with the idyllic River Severn running through and its plethora of museums. After embarking on one of the village's many walking trails, visitors can enjoy a sweet treat from one of Ironbridge's many ice cream shops.
