Just spent the weekend on Lady V. So hubby can get some fishing in after having a knee replacement. The location is fabulous, so peaceful and could fish right off the boat till the early hours where he caught bream. Barbel and chubb. Best fishing is definitely at night. There is a pub a 10 minute walk down the lane which was nice.. Everything you needed on board if you wanted to cook. Bed was comfy. Never had a problem with flies as someone else has said, quite a few spiders on the outer deck but it's only to be expected on a river with lots of reeds, and grasses there's going to be some sort of insects etc. Chris was always on hand and responded promptly to messages and checked in a few times to make sure everything was OK. Yes its not a 5 star hotel, but if you like fishing and peace and quiet then this is a gem. Will definitely be booking again.

The accommodation was not only disappointing but posed serious health and safety risks. On arrival, I found a live extension cable submerged in stagnant water in a cupboard , a malfunctioning toilet threatening to flood, dead flies throughout the interior, and a bilge pump expelling water and sludge. These conditions made the boat uninhabitable and fell far below advertised standards, compromising both cleanliness and safety.I informed the owner about the electrical hazard but received no apology—just “I’ll get it looked into.” When I raised the issue of the toilet, there was no response at all. With no resolution offered, I had no choice but to leave. Even after explaining that we were departing due to these serious issues, the owner made no effort to help or rectify the situation, not even an apology. After calling cottages.com was told to email customer service and still awaiting a response.

We had a fantastic few days living on the Avon here. Wonderful location within a keypad gated moorings, which was extremely peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. Perfect place to base yourself to visit Stratford, or even to just sit and fish off the boat like we did, catching plenty of decent size Chub and Bream ledgering on luncheon meat, with loads of smaller Perch, Dace and Roche to keep us happy on a float, and then popping out to a local pub for some lunch or an evening meal. 2 Pubs we really liked was the Cox's Yard in Stratford, and the Four Alls, which is about 3 miles from the boat. I couldn't have been happier or any more relaxed. We did experience a couple of issues when we stayed, but Chris came and sorted them straight away, so couldn't really ask for any more. Is it the Ritz? No. But what it is, is a quiet, relaxing, peaceful little fishing haven, with wildlife all round (I saw my first Kingfisher!) and everything you need facilities wise. I WILL be returning!
