Guests say

Lower Tundridge Cottage receives high praise for its spacious communal areas, luxurious touches like multi-jet showers, and a hot tub that guests consistently enjoy. The property's rural setting is appreciated for tranquility and proximity to nature trails. Thoughtful gestures by the host, such as welcome gifts, add to the positive experience, although these are not guaranteed for every stay.

Most guests found the property clean and well-maintained, though a few noted areas for improvement, such as cobwebs and window cleanliness. The majority of feedback, however, suggests a satisfactory level of cleanliness.

The cottage's location is highly regarded for its peacefulness and beautiful surroundings. Its proximity to nature trails, local pubs, and the Malvern Hills adds to the appeal, although the remote setting requires some travel for larger shops.

Guests generally found the property comfortable, with good-sized bedrooms and excellent showers. However, some guests mentioned that the beds and sofas could be more comfortable, and a few had issues with mattress quality.

The property's facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and hot tub, are frequently highlighted as highlights. Some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and suggested additional amenities, but overall, the facilities are well-received.

While many reviews mention thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts, not all reviews reference this, and it is not possible to guarantee such extras for every stay. Therefore, a score cannot be accurately provided.

About this property

This is a spectacular, upside-down detached farmhouse in the village of Suckley in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a stylish, contemporary conversion of a traditional farm building that was once used in hop and grain production. Full of charm and character, the building is full of original features and with exposed oak beams inside. The beautiful design and finish, high-quality facilities and stunning rural location make the cottage a prime spot for friends and family to come together and enjoy a luxurious holiday. Step into Lower Tundridge Cottage and into its lovely, spacious entrance which leads towards four of the six immaculate bedrooms, two of which have sumptuous en-suite shower rooms with body jets and rainfall shower heads.

One of the rooms on this floor is a lavish suite made up of two former oast houses; the circular, high ceilinged sections are now combined and feature a huge round bed and mosaic tiled wet-room with an impressive overhead rainfall shower, body jets and multi-colour LED lighting built-in. There is also a family shower room on the ground floor - with two separate rainfall showers and body jets in one large cubicle - and a cloakroom. A walk up the oak, glass-panelled staircase takes you towards the fabulous open plan living area with exposed feature roof trusses and a high vaulted ceiling.

An original hoist wheel, once used to raise grain from the ground floor, remains as a reminder of the building’s heritage. There’s plenty of comfortable seating to relax in, a large slate breakfast bar where everyone can sit together - whether for dinner or just a glass of wine and a chat - and a fantastic woodburning stove all creating a great area to sit and relax with everybody together. The luxury kitchen area is enough to please the most enthusiastic cooks in the family with three ovens (one of which doubles as a microwave), a dishwasher, induction hob and granite worktops.

A mezzanine area looks out over the living space through glass balustrades and provides a cosy chilling-out space where you can relax with a book or spend a few moments contemplating. The entrance hall provides another separate space to sit and enjoy the cottage and all it has to offer. The whole building is kept at the perfect temperature by an underfloor heating system. The first floor also boasts two family bedrooms, making it the perfect place for families and couples to come and stay, each of these can accommodate four people. One has an en-suite shower room and the other is served by a chic family bathroom right next door - with a free-standing bath with floor standing taps over.

Just perfect for relaxing in with a glass of wine or some bubbles and a steam room/shower cabinet for two. Make the most of the outstanding garden when coming to stay here, there is a lawn area, alfresco dining area and a large hot tub - with lights, waterfalls, a TV, a recliner and even a built in ice-bucket/chiller - to enjoy at your leisure. Suckley is a delightful scattered village with the essential amenities for a holiday base as it also offers scenery and plenty of walks for you to enjoy, sitting on the Worcestershire Way. The charming town of Malvern is a short distance away, it has some lovely buildings as well as a good range of shops and restaurants and is famed for its theatres and walks across the stunning scenery of the Malvern Hills, said to have inspired Edward Elgar.

Lower Tundridge Farm is an excellent property in the most scenic of countryside locations.

Suckley is surrounded by countryside, very close to Herefordshire and has a shop, Post Office and two pubs. The area boasts walks with the Worcestshire Way and the Three Choirs Way close by. A short drive away is Great Malvern which dates back to the Bronze Age and is on the eastern side of the Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town holds antiques fairs, markets, farmers’ markets and auctions as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. The Malvern Theatre welcomes productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Fishing and river cruises are available and there are National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards to visit in the area. Malvern has shops, cafés, art galleries and restaurants, as well as a luxurious spa, and is also just a short drive from the Three Counties Showground.

We had six small kids with us and plenty of room for them to play.

We were a family from 4 yr olds upto late 70's and we all had a great time. Plenty of room for the kids to play and the adults to chill. The little touches of sweets for the kids and wine for us was so welcoming. We did an ocado order and had a Indian takeaway delivered. Spent time exploring the Malvern hills and the priory gardens. If you want a large family getaway this is the perfect place.

The Kitchen and outdoor areas were the stand out. The kitchen was really well stocked with enough cooking equipment, glasses, mugs and crockery and the large table was a great social space. The lounge area offered a really comfortable place to relax with everyone. The owners were super helpful and ensured we had everything we needed, they were also really responsive to questions / emails we sent them. Would highly recommend Lower Tundridge Cottage - the immediate surroundings are beautiful.
