We had a lovely break at the Smithy. Jayne was a very knowledgeable friendly host , welcome pack was lovely. Hot tub fantastic. Bed was so comfortable , slept all night. Didn’t hear anything from the road or the animals. Will definitely return

Myself and my family had a lovely time at the smithy. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly they even let my little one feed the chickens and the sheep which she loved. With a car it’s a great location about 10/15 mins from supermarkets and towns. Very peaceful which is nice when coming from a busy area. I marked it down one for comfort but this is a personal preference, the bed is memory foam which i always find hard but my partner loved it but this is a thing everywhere i stay so it is a me problem. Equipped kitchen small but functional and they have everything you need to cook, we used the bbq a few times. It was a great 4 night stay the only thing i would call a downside which cant be helped as it is a barn if you have a little one like us we have a toddler there is no access from the barn to the garden you walk down the side where there is a gate and i wouldn't leave her inside alone while sleeping due to her age but again a me thing. I would highly recommend this place and when when come visit family again i will be looking to see if its available.

Hosts Matt, Jayne and Spencer Greeted us as we arrived on the 1st Week of our Holiday in The Smithy that was like "Home From Home"There was a Welcome Pack on the Kitchen Table of FREE RANGE EGGS, Milk, Tea, Jam, Honey & Marmalade, Hot Chocolate + small pk of Biscuits.Everything is WELL EQUIPED in the Kitchen area with a Fridge that will Easily fit Your OWN FOOD & DRINKS. + there are a Few Cupboards & Shelves for Cutlery, Crockery & Cleaning items etc. Selection of Books & Leaflets of Places to See.Everything you could need for a SELF CATERING Holiday.I'm a Wheelchair and Zimmer Frame user and I can say that Everywhere for me was Accessible with the Help of my Husband/ Carer. 'I HAVE my Own NON SLIP HAND RAIL that '*****' & STICKS onto TILES, so after showing it to Spencer, they've agreed to get one for Other 'GUESTS' to use. All in all it was a WONDERFUL RELAXING QUIET WEEK AWAY
