The Smithy is a charming, well-equipped cottage ideal for a relaxing countryside break. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, welcoming hosts, and the private hot tub, which is a highlight for many. The property is well located for exploring Worcester and nearby attractions, with lovely walks on the doorstep. While most found the cottage comfortable and peaceful, a few mentioned issues with heat and minor maintenance. Thoughtful touches such as welcome packs are appreciated, though not guaranteed. Overall, The Smithy offers a delightful and restful stay in a beautiful rural setting.
Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with many guests describing the cottage as spotless, tidy, and well maintained. Only one or two reviews mention minor issues such as a dog smell or the need for a deeper clean, but these are exceptions.
The location is praised for its proximity to Worcester, countryside walks, and local attractions. Some mention the main road being close, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive impression.
Most guests found the cottage comfortable, with special mention of the beds and peaceful setting. A few noted issues with heat during hot weather and personal preferences regarding mattress type or sofa comfort, but these were not widespread.
Facilities such as the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, powerful shower, and secure garden are highly rated. Occasional comments suggest minor improvements to outdoor areas or TV channels, but overall satisfaction is very high.
Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches like welcome packs with eggs and local produce, as well as helpful hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Smithy. Greeted by Jayne, the owner and made to feel really welcome. The property is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area, making it easy to visit many different attractions. Inside, the accommodation is beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and perfectly suited to our needs. We loved the hot tub too. We would highly recommend staying here!

Smelt of dog I understand it's dog friendly but I don't want to be smelling it in living/ kitchen area when I don't have my dog with me food under table needs a deep clean throughout the heating is controlled by owner & it was cold the two nights we were there & it didn't come on at all

Very friendly hosts, Smithy clean, tidy and well equipped, shower and hot-tub brilliant, no problem with parking. The only negatives we found were: The corner sofa is very low with little in the way of support / comfort especially if you have hip/knee/back issues. Decking/seating area around hot tub could perhaps be refreshed and made more inviting.
