Guests say

Severn Bank Lodge receives glowing praise for its idyllic riverside setting, immaculate gardens, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently highlight the peaceful atmosphere, excellent dog walking and fishing opportunities, and the well-equipped, cosy cottage. The owners are frequently commended for their hospitality and helpfulness. While some mention low beams and steps that may challenge those with limited mobility, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Numerous reviews describe the property as spotlessly clean, tidy, and well cared for, with high standards consistently maintained throughout the cottage and gardens.

The riverside location is repeatedly praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and access to walks, fishing, and local amenities, making it ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities.

Guests find the cottage cosy, warm, and comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens and comfortable beds. Some mention low beams and steps, which may affect taller guests or those with mobility issues.

The property is described as very well equipped, with excellent facilities for self-catering, fishing (including tackle storage and bait fridge), and reliable Wi-Fi. Minor issues with mobile signal and occasional Wi-Fi dips are noted but do not detract from the overall experience.

Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome packs, cake, wine, and flowers. While these gestures are appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Its positioned right on the banks of the River Severn with a lovely private garden area. Ideal for a bit of R&R watching the boats and doing a spot of fishing. The hosts/owners Dave & Wendy are delightful and always ready to give any advice (especially lovely pubs to eat in - check out the Plough Inn !) Would definitely book again without hesitation - but may struggle as it seems very popular and booked up !!
