This stylish, duplex apartment rests right in the centre of town, adjacent to the rivers Calder and Hebden Water and within moments of local amenities including an independent cinema, a wealth of pubs and restaurants and celebrated music venue the Hebden Bridge Trades Club. The apartment itself is on the first floor of a Victorian former school building and has been beautifully renovated, with river views and a light-filled, open-plan layout comprising kitchen, dining and living space; Fitted with sleek worktops and an electric oven and hob, you’ll have everything you need for a pre-night out dinner or cosy evening in. The flat has original mid-century furnishings, wide screen TV, a wealth of plants to bring the outdoors in and a neat, well-presented shower room. Up on the second floor is a bright, spacious and beautifully furnished double bedroom with gable roof and exposed beams. There is a shared, ground floor utility area with flagstone floors, washing machine and tumble dryer. Hebden Bridge is renowned for its friendly, inclusive culture and has gained fame as the location for Gentleman Jack, The Gallows Pole and Happy Valley; You’ll be spoilt for choice when dining out, with the high street a stone’s throw away and a huge range of choices including vegetarian, vegan and GF options. The surrounding areas are internationally known for excellent climbing and mountain biking; Hardcastle Crags — a National Trust property and walkers’ paradise — is nicknamed "Little Switzerland" and contains miles of stunning, wooded trails, waterfalls and wildlife; The Pennine Way and Broadhead Clough Nature Reserve are right on your doorstep and you are only a short walk from the historic village of Heptonstall, with its 13th-century church and historic pubs once frequented by the coiners of local legend; The train station is minutes from the apartment should you wish to explore further afield; Yorkshire Dales National Park and the picturesque, cobbled village of Haworth, once home to the Bronte sisters, make fantastic days out by car or public transport. The attractive, little Pennine town of Hebden Bridge sits within the Calderdale area and provides home to the picturesque Rochdale Canal and a delightful Victorian railway station. It has an abundance of independent shops , including art galleries, cafes bars , pubs and restaurants. Excellent walking country, with the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way close by, this delightful location is also the first 'Walkers are Welcome' town in the UK, a scheme supported by the Ramblers’ Association. Alternatively, scenic drives and fabulous cycling, as featured on 2nd stage of the 2014 Tour de France, 2015 Tour de Yorkshire and 2018 Tour de Yorkshire, can be enjoyed from your doorstep. Journey to Haworth where the splendid Parsonage Museum commemorates the famous Bronte family who lived there. The area is also a must for steam railway enthusiasts who will enjoy the thriving Worth Valley Railway, whilst the highly acclaimed Eureka Museum is in Halifax, noted for its unique Piece Hall and its Victorian architecture. The stunning architecture of the Dean Clough complex should also be admired and is just seven miles away. Skipton, “Gateway to the Dales” and Holmfirth, recognised from Last of the Summer Wine, are both easy and scenic car rides away.
