Step inside and the heart of this holiday home is the open plan living space, decorated in neutral tones and flooded with natural light from two sets of doors leading out to the enclosed garden and a roof lantern above the dining area. The large seating area offers a selection of deep filled wrap around sofas which are ideally placed to enjoy an evening in front of the Smart TV. The immaculate kitchen sits to one side and offers an array of appliances to make your stay an easy one. Take a seat at the central island and enjoy a morning coffee, or perhaps partake in a glass of wine whilst watching the chef in the group prepare a delicious home cooked evening meal which can be enjoyed at the large dining table. A small utility room with washing machine and separate toilet complete the ground floor facilities.
During the summer months throw open the doors and enjoy the enclosed garden and patio. The garden furniture is well placed to make the most of the mid-day sun, and a large private hot tub will provide the ultimate place for a relaxing dip. Cheviot has four bedrooms for you to choose from, two being en-suite. All bedrooms are beautifully presented with luxury soft furnishings and plenty of storage. The accommodation is completed with a house bathroom.
The village of Walkington has everything you will need from a selection of village pubs serving great food and real ale, to a local convenience store. A short drive will bring you to the neighbouring town of Beverley. Here you can enjoy a day at Beverley Races, explore the open green space of Westwood, spend the day exploring the cobbled streets and the plethora of independent shops and restaurants. Beverley is also well known for its thriving music scene in the evening. A little further afield are the traditional seaside towns of Hornsea and Filey, perfect for a day at the beach and a fish and chip supper. With easy access to miles of cycle routes and footpaths, with great road links to both York and the East Coast, Cheviot is the perfect holiday home for your East Riding of Yorkshire holiday.

Lovely home in a lovely area. The building work going on behind is very noisy and actually shook the house! I really wouldn’t have been happy if I was there for a longer stay .

Unaware of significant building works at rear of property “ sleep in” not possible would have been appropriate to advise the building of houses was active at time of booking, Also privacy whilst in hot tub dismissed with the works just over the fence “ site access” had full view of hot tub occupants.

It’s a spacious property in a lovely village. However it is looking a little tired in places and the “garden” consists only of a grassed slope and a gravel area covered in weeds. Most importantly there is currently a building site to the rear of the property the access to which is directly to the side of the property. Hence there iwas quite a lot of noise from an early hour!
