Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or an adventure for the family, Alf is the ideal place to stay. Step inside Alf and be welcomed by the inviting open-plan living space, boasting an array of appliances guaranteed to make you feel right at home. Settle down in the inviting sitting area, complete with a gas fire that will keep you warm during colder months, and click on the TV to catch up with your favourite shows as your other half rustles up a tasty feast. Settle down at the dining table, or if the weather permits, head outside to the enclosed wraparound decking, soaking in the fresh air with a cup of tea while spending quality time with loved ones. When the evening draws to a close, retreat back inside to wash away the day in the sleek shower room, before hunkering down in your chosen bedroom, with a king-size and twin on offer. In the morning, explore all the highlights of East Yorkshire from your doorstep; visit Bridlington, perfect for a dip in the North Sea, or attending the annual kite festival and the award-winning Sewerby Hall. Spend some time in Flamborough where you can explore the local nature reserve, take a boat trip to spot puffins and seals, or wander along the iconic coastal path. If you’d prefer to take a trip to the seaside, drive over to Filey and Scarborough for traditional seaside activities, beautiful sandy beaches and a variety of shops and eateries. Complete your holiday by taking a trip to the iconic stately homes and gardens in the area. However you choose to spend your days in the East Riding of Yorkshire, opt for Alf as your lovely base.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.

No bin supplied in the kitchen so waste management was a problem, only one small bin in one of the bathrooms.no welcome pack / book to explain about the cabin or where to dispose of rubbish.this was a last minute booking so maybe this was the reason no details were left on the cabin. On a positive note the cabin itself was beautiful and very well presented. Would stay again but possibly in summer so the drive to and from the cabin was safer.
