Lovely lodge that we would definitely revisit when in the area. Easy access to coastal walks ,Sewerby Hall and the land train into Bridlington via a small wood (uneven path). Lodge was well equipped on the whole, however, we did not see an iron or ironing board and coat hangers were in short supply. The website mentions that there is a welcome pack but take this literally as after contacting Cottages.com they said it is just a pack containing useful information whereas with other holiday stays, we have been used to some welcome ‘gifts’ like milk , tea and or local produce/wine as well as the information. Maybe we have been spoiled but apparently we are not the first reviewer to raise this and they said they would mention it to the owners. It certainly didn’t spoil our stay at the lodge but it maybe best to take your own condiments/sugar/tea/coffee/milk etc (there is a small shop near the golf club for basic items including bread, milk, frozen food items and a larger farm shop less than a mile away. The site was very quiet even during our stay in the summer school holiday. All in all a great place to stay.

good location, Alfie was spotlessly clean on arrival. first thing we noticed was decking could do with a coat of paint or varnish, looked a bit neglected. Said there would be a welcome pack on arrival, must have been well hidden, disappointing. There was 2 passes in the lodge for access through Sewerby hall, we were told in no uncertain terms by staff at Sewerby hall , the passes are worthless , and will not gain you access or entry to any facilities on the hall grounds. Alfie does have a singing light fitting, use the washer and you will see what i mean. No hoover or iron provided , if you did need to vac up , or an item of clothing needed an iron. If you do stay in Alfie and you know the weather is going to be hot , take a couple of fans with you, a couple of nights it was like trying to sleep in a greenhouse, it certainly holds the heat. All in all nice lodge/ chalet, was very clean, good location for visiting round the area, would recommend. If you find the welcome pack , please let me know.
