We had to clean all the kitchen appliances, cupboards & drawers on arrival at Meadow Cottage after a 10 hour drive. The washing machine drawer was covered in mould & smelt dreadful. Dishwasher was dirty & no salt or rinse agent. Oven & grill pan were dirty & old crispy food stuck in bottom of door. Oven glove was dirty, had last guests food & stains on it. No curtains in living area, leak coming from toilet cistern so we had to turn water off as it was pouring out not gently dripping, wall was damp in bathroom so not a new leak. Toilet seat in en suite was hanging off so moved when using toilet. Owner sent someone to clean oven, we showed her the photos of all the dirty appliances & the toilet & expected someone to come & repair it. Owner was going into hospital the next day but she had known since the Saturday & we feel she could have arranged for a plumber over the weekend. If we wanted to use the main toilet we had to throw a bowl of water down it each time to flush it, my husband did an emergency repair to tighten the en suite toilet seat but it still moved & felt unsafe. There were cobwebs everywhere. We are very cross we were there in Meadow Cottage for a whole week 'making do'. The barn could be lovely with a lot of TLC, it overlooks a field so we saw lots if wildlife including a deer & a beautiful barn owl. There is no kerb appeal to whole site, that is not just because of ongoing building work. We have reported our views to holiday company who said & said they would contact owners. Still waiting for further comments from them. Would not recommend Ocean View.

A well equipped cottage set in lovely quiet surroundings. Walking distance to local village and to the coast
