Surrounded by farmland, this detached single storey holiday cottage was originally used as the living quarters for those manning the nearby Second World War searchlight. Completely modernised yet retaining its original working range in the living room, it offers a peaceful location with far reaching views. The rspb have noted over 100 different species of birds on the farmland, and with a pond available for coarse fishing and a footpath leading to the coast, this is an ideal cottage to enjoy many forms of wildlife. Just 4 miles from Bridlington, with Flamborough Head and Bempton rspb reserve beyond, and with the coastline all accessible, together with days out at Beverley, 16 miles away, or historic York, this also makes a great touring base. Shop, pub and restaurant 2.5 miles.

The cottage was clean ,warm,and very well equipped. (Best we've been in for having everything you need) Didn't like the flat hob,not enough cooking space but I suppose lots of people don't even cook and we managed. A very quiet relaxing week.
