Nearby lies Hornsea Mere, the largest glacial lake in Yorkshire, where guests can partake in watersports, fishing, and boating. The rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds are a short drive away, as are the popular resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough, all well worth visiting. With the stately homes of Sledmere House, Burton Constable Hall and Burton Agnes Hall nearby, guests are well catered for in this Atwick cottage.

Bridlington, with its Bird of Prey Centre and other seaside attractions, is just 10 miles away, and further afield are the historic Minster city of York, the bustling market town of Beverley, and the City of Culture 2017 of Hull. I think the hot water needs to be turned down a bit, it does get exceedingly hot very quickly.

Bob and Lil were lovely very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them,we will most definitely be going back.Anyone wanting a quiet relaxing break will definitely love this cottage,it is in a lovely quiet village with a pub ten minutes walk down the lane,that serves lovely food ,everything you could want . We have stayed in quite a few holiday lets/cottages and this is by far the nicest we give the whole experience 10 out of 10 .
