After driving through the fishing lakes, find Emmotland Retreat and enter into the large open plan living area which offers great views over one of the fishing lakes. The modern kitchen is to one side and offers an induction hob, electric oven, and microwave. There is plenty of cupboard space for your holiday essentials and lots of space for preparing a delicious home cooked meal which can be enjoyed on the dining table close by. On an evening relax in the inviting seating area with two deep filled sofas and a Smart TV for your entertainment. This bright and airy room provides great views out over the fishing lake, which completely private and solely for guest use. After a long day exploring the local area, choose from one of two beautifully presented bedrooms; a double room with TV and en-suite bathroom with an extra deep bath, or a lakeview zip and link super kingsize room with TV. The accommodation is completed by a wet room style bathroom with large walk-in shower.
Step outside onto the large, enclosed patio which offers great views out across the lake. With additional seating, this area is a real sun trap during the warmer summer months.

Surrounded by the Yorkshire Wolds, this area offers miles of walking and cycling opportunities and the stately homes of Sledmere House, Burton Agnes and Castle Howard under an hour’s drive away. Had a lovely break! Cottage was cute clean homely and relaxing Countryside was peaceful it was beautiful looking at the lake when in hot tub! The only downfall was the smell but we sprayed lots of air freshen Also it was a bit annoying not having any curtains on doors in living room specially when nighttime came as the dog barks at her own reflection and trying to stop her doing that isn’t easy Other than that we had a great break it was just what we needed Thanks very much
