Keepers Cottage in Driffield is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches from the owner. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, the convenient location for exploring local attractions, and the welcoming local pubs. The cottage's cosy atmosphere and the provision of essentials contribute to a pleasant stay, despite minor feedback on Wi-Fi and privacy.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'immaculately clean' and 'tidy'. There is a single mention of a 'whiff' of dog which suggests room for improvement.
The location is praised for being central, with easy access to local attractions, pubs, and dog walking fields. It is also noted for its proximity to beautiful beaches and convenient parking.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with a welcoming outside space and a peaceful atmosphere. The provision of quality towels and bedding also contributes to the comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped home and thoughtful extras. However, there are comments on the lack of oven gloves, one-ply toilet paper, and low hot water pressure, which slightly lower the score.
The owner's thoughtfulness is frequently commended, with mentions of welcome packs and helpful communication. While gifts are appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed.
Keepers Cottage, 21 Coppergate is a historic, terraced cottage built in 1798 nestled in the village of Nafferton, East Riding of Yorkshire. With two bedrooms sleeping four guests, the pet-friendly cottage offers a characterful base for two couples to explore the best of coast and countryside. Be welcomed into the living/dining room with wooden beams, charming furnishings and a Freeview TV for a relaxing retreat after the day's adventures; your dog will love curling up in front of the open fire, whilst you sink into the inviting leather sofas. Set the table for four as the group's chef whips up a delicious meal in the neighbouring kitchen with everything needed for your self-catering stay, including a washing machine for muddy walking gear and sandy towels. A patio door leads out to the rear, enclosed garden where pets can play in safety; why not uncork a bottle of wine and toast to your holiday retreat! Choose from one of two well-appointed double bedrooms to unpack and make yourself right at home. Get ready in the bathroom, complete with a heated towel rail for a warm, fluffy towel after a soak in the tub or rinse in the shower over. You'll find a coffee machine in the kitchen to whip up a round of coffees to kick-start your morning and plan the day ahead; stock up in Nafferton's convenience store or take a break from the kitchen in one of three country pubs, whilst the surrounding countryside is perfect for walkers. History buffs will relish nearby stately homes, including Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall, to wander the halls and gardens of grand manors. Jump in the car or take the train to Bridlington for a day at the pet-friendly Bridlington South Beach, discover historic artefacts at The Bayle Museum or stroll along the picturesque harbour. Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast is just next door for incredible vistas, birdwatching along RSPB Bempton Cliffs and historic lighthouses. Stay on the coast for plenty of attractions in Filey and Scarborough or alternatively, spend the day wandering the winding streets of York for quirky shops, beautiful city walls and the gothic York Minster. Book Keepers Cottage, 21 Coppergate for a pet-friendly cottage you'll love returning to again and again.
The village of Nafferton is conveniently located in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds countryside. It is 2 miles from the market town of Driffield and 9 miles from Bridlington's coastal resort. Three country pubs, a village shop, a post office, and a fish and chip shop service the village with mostly traditional houses clustered around the mere and village greens. It's a two-minute walk to the railway station, which is really convenient; it's only one stop to Bridlington and four to Scarborough!
