West End Farm Lodge is a large family cottage in the middle of Thornholme village 5 miles from the famous seaside town of Bridlington. This well presented property is ideally suited for a family or group of friends looking to enjoy the East Riding and stunning Yorkshire coastline.
The property is situated at the edge of a family working arable with the owners breeding horses, which can be introduced to on request of the owners. Bridlington is famous for its fishing fleet and the fresh lobster and crabs which are landed daily. This popular town is packed with things to keep you entertained from a long walk on the promenade, wide sandy beaches and a plethora of amusement arcades and fish and chip restaurants.
This area is also a walkers and bird watchers paradise. There are miles of footpaths to explore as well as the rspb reserve at Bempton Cliffs and the imposing Flamborough Head which juts out into the English Channel. The unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds and stunning beauty of the North York Moors National Park as well as the historic city of York are all under an hours drive away. Beach 5 miles. This was our third or fourth visit to this well equipped cottage and as usual everything was clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable and I had the best nights sleep for a long while and we have already booked for next year

Had a wonderful break in this lovely lodge. It was very spacious and well equipped. The owners provided dog treats, dog bed and towels for my little pooch too, which was a nice touch. There are lovely walks up the farm track behind the lodge where we saw lots of birds and other wildlife. We would definitely go again.

Lovely cottage, comfortable beds. two very powerful showers ( heaven ) clean with a well equipped kitchen, good size accommodation more than enough room for our party of four. Wellcome hamper of local produce very much appreciated especially the “ Yorkshire Tea” In need of a little decoration ( obviously had a water leak at some point) Very dog friendly, ( dog treats a nice touch ) lovely walks in surrounding farm countryside. Lodge is on a working farm be prepared for cockerel morning wake up and horses snorting., cows mooing etc. We got used to it very quickly and embraced the country side noises. Good location for visiting Whitby, Scarborough and Robinhood Bay.
