The short drive to Hornsea brings you to a traditional seaside resort with long sandy beaches, a variety of interesting shops and a good selection of restaurants and country pubs. For something different take a trip to Hornsea Mere which is the largest natural lake in Yorkshire and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Take a visit to Hull for a day out, which has been named as the City of Culture for 2017 or visit the historic city of York. Further afield are the seaside towns of Bridlington and Scarborough with great beaches and promenades to frequent.
