Guests say

The Roost is a well-appointed, clean, and comfortable holiday home ideal for families or couples. Guests appreciate the excellent hot tub, underfloor heating in the bathroom, and the high standard of the barn conversion. While the outside space lacks sunlight and the double bed's mattress could be improved, the property's peacefulness and proximity to local amenities are highly regarded. The Roost is recommended for its overall quality and charm.

Guests consistently noted the property as very clean and comfortable, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The property is praised for its lovely location, with easy access to shops, a pub, and a children's play area. However, some difficulty in finding the entrance suggests room for improvement in visibility and signage.

The property is generally considered comfortable, especially for a family of four. However, comments about the snugness for four adults and the need for a better mattress suggest that comfort could be enhanced.

The facilities, including a hot tub and underfloor heating, are well-received. However, the mention of a worn mattress and a desire for additional lounge seating indicate some areas require maintenance or upgrades.

There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

The Roost is a very well appointed barn conversion that has been finished to an excellent standard. It is equipped with everything for a great holiday with the exception of one important item! Namely the mattress on the double bed. This mattress is a sprung item which has seen better days. Any movement leads to disturbing your partner with ripples and sound effects. Had the bed been furnished with a decent memory foam mattress I would have been giving a 5 star review. A good night's sleep is high in our list of prerequisites! I would book this location again but only if this issue is rectified.

We thought the Roost was excellent for 2 adults, maybe slightly small for 4 adults, but better a family of four with young children.Very clean and comfortable with most things you needed for a break away.Hot tub was excellent are only comment is the outside space doesn’t get any sun.Bed was comfortable, shower excellent we loved the under floor heating in the bathroom, we felt some basic toiletries could be included not just hand wash.We found the entrance from the road was difficult to see perhaps some more signage near the kerbside.Overall a fantastic place and would recommend , we would like to return and stay at the large cottage The Warren with family in the future. We would have loved to meet the owner but unfortunately they were not available on this occasion.

A really lovely cottage and a lovely location. The conversion is excellent. The look and feel wonderful. Hot tub is great of course and only 15 minutes from Hornsea which is our favourite place to visit. Short walk to shop, short drive to a great pub and children’s play area. Helped that the weather was great, of course. But all round a great place to stay for a family of four with a dog and would highly recommend.
