Clayton is in the heart of Bronte Country and has grown over the years. Today it's home to a shop, supermarket, several pubs, and the Church of St Johns and a Methodist church. At the centre there's a park with crown green bowling, lovely gardens, seating and a play area. There is a cricket field and walks to discover. It golf course situated beside the Horton Bank Country Park, with a lake and picnic benches. The village Haworth is eight miles away, with shops and restaurants, as well cobbled streets and alleys to explore. Ilkley, Skipton and Harrogate are under hour away, or spend the day at the RHS gardens at Harlow.. For walkers and cyclists, the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks are less than an hour away, and there are parks and estates in the area to keep the less dedicated hikers happy! You can easily visit Halifax and the City Park fountains and Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, or travel further afield for shopping in Leeds and York, or the original Betty’s Tea Rooms in Harrogate.
