About this property

Found in a little hamlet called Newby, around a 15-minute walk from the village of Clapham in North Yorkshire, Croft Cottage is a semi-detached annexe stone cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside. The hamlet of Newby lies on the southern slopes of Ingleborough, the most famous of the Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For the more serious hikers there is direct access onto Ingleborough from the cottage avoiding the need to travel before you start your 3 peaks adventure. Suited for a small family looking to have some adventures outdoors, or a group of friends looking to complete the Three Peaks Challenge, this property will impress with its high-quality furnishings and large open layout inside, as well as the fantastic outdoor space. Enter into the vast kitchen, the first section of the open-plan living space, and have fun cooking up tasty meals taking advantage of all the excellent appliances available to you, especially the wine cooler! Sit around the dining table together and enjoy some delicious food, and afterwards head out onto the decking to indulge in an after-dinner drink on a warm summer evening. If the day has tired you out completely, then sink into the sumptuous corner sofa and get your favourite shows on the Smart TV. All that fresh Yorkshire air will make anyone sleepy, so when it's time to head upstairs you can choose from two lovely rooms; a king-size and a twin, both benefiting from Velux windows with some storage for your personal belongings. Across the hall is the family bathroom where you can soak in the large bath or get a quick shower, whatever the occasion calls for, and if someone is taking too long then just hop in the ground-floor shower room. Not only is there a decked area with seating at the back of the property, but an enclosed lawned area perfect for letting your four-legged best friend have a run around! The nearest pubs and shops are a short walk into the pretty village of Clapham, so when no one feels like cooking in the evening you can head over to one of the excellent pubs for some classic tasty pub grub! The Yorkshire Dales National Park is on your doorstep so it would be wrong not to do a bit of exploring, as well as the Forest of Bowland AONB to the south as well as the Lake District National Park, there are fantastic opportunities for walking, cycling and other various outdoor activities for any age or level. Croft Cottage will be your Yorkshire countryside hideaway, where you can feel the benefit of the fresh air and home-from-home accommodation.

Garden excellent for dog. Disturbed during the night by rain on velux window situated directly above bed. A few comfortable chairs would have brought it up to a five star standard.

Very clean, comfortable and spacious. We stayed in February and the cottage was always very cosy and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the downstairs shower/toilet was a bonus. Nice little rear garden for our border collie to use. The cottage itself is in a very peaceful hamlet, but there are some beautiful places to visit in Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dale's, which are just a car ride away. A cottage we would definitely return too. All in all
