With on-site parking and everything on one level, it’s designed for easy living and relaxed days. Step inside and you’re greeted by a spacious open-plan living area, where laughter flows as freely as the tea. Sink into the plush seating and catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV, while the designated chef whips up something delicious in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.
Meals become moments around the dining table, or even better, out on the decking. Fire up the Big Green Egg barbecue, share stories under the open sky, and end the evening with a soak in the bubbling hot tub as stars begin to twinkle overhead. When it’s time to wind down, choose from three inviting bedrooms: a king-size with its own Smart TV for slow mornings and en-suite shower room, and two twin rooms ideal for children or friends. An additonal sleek shower room with walk-in shower ensures everyone has space to refresh and recharge. After a day of exploring North Yorkshire’s countryside, return to Leven (Pet), a place where memories are made and every moment feels like home.
The attractive village of Great Ayton lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, at the foot of the Cleveland Hills. Great Ayton is famous for being the boyhood home of Captain Cook, and is also mentioned in the Domesday Book. The village consists of a mixture of pretty stone cottages and some new development housing. Great Ayton has two village greens, with a river running alongside, making it a popular picnic spot in the summer months. To the north of the village, the view is dominated by Roseberry Topping, a 330-metre hill. In the village are a good range of shops and inns, which, together with restaurants and cafes, cater well for holidaymakers. There is also the old school, now converted into the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum. Around the village are several interesting walks, and Great Ayton makes a great base for walkers wishing to explore the stunning countryside. A good base for market towns, the lovely countryside and, just a short drive, the East Coast.
