Guests are charmed by the cottage's superb location with stunning river views, a beautiful garden, and proximity to Grassington. The property is praised for its spaciousness, homely touches, and well-equipped kitchen. While some minor cleanliness issues and comfort concerns are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the property clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about dishes not being properly cleaned and the presence of dust and dog hairs. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is consistently lauded for its stunning views, easy access to local amenities, and proximity to walking paths. It's described as idyllic and perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
The property is generally found to be comfortable and homely. However, there are remarks about low seating being difficult for some guests and beds in the single rooms not being very comfortable, which slightly affects the score.
Facilities are well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample living space. Some guests suggest updates to certain items and mention a damp basement room, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.

A delightful stone-built, end-terrace cottage with stunning riverside views, gorgeous garden and summerhouse situated above the banks of the River Wharfe, 5 minutes' walk from the centre of the honeypot location of Grassington, famously known as the filming location for the beloved TV series All Creatures Great and Small. Bridge End sits in Grassington, the village transformed into Darrowby for All Creatures Great & Small, with The Devonshire Arms starring as The Drovers Arms. The property’s stunning view was also featured on the front cover of Country Life Guide. Lovingly decorated with wooden flooring, 1 Bridge End & Garden provides superb accommodation over four floors, boasting a log-burning stove in the sitting room and with magnificent views of the river and surrounding dales. The village offers a large variety of well-stocked and distinctive shops and pubs as well as art galleries and there are beautiful walks along the river to Linton Falls, as well as challenging walks in the nearby hills. Grassington is also the home to the popular annual Grassington Festival. With fishing and pony trekking, Bolton Abbey, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Skipton all close by, this lovely property makes an ideal touring base!
With traditional stone cottages and shops, clustered around the cobbled market place, Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering outstanding shopping facilities for a settlement of its size, this village hosts a monthly farmer's market with a delicious range of organic and home-made local produce. This superb walking area is full of interesting natural features such as the River Wharfe and extensive Grass Woods which lay to the north of the village. Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous "Strid Walk" is a short distance away, as is the elegant town of Ilkley, situated in the shadow of Ilkley Moor. The cathedral city of York is within easy driving distance and offers a wide range of attractions such as the Viking museum, the National Railway Museum and the chilling York Dungeon.
