About this property

A beautiful ground floor studio, formerly a blacksmith's workshop, located in the heart of Grassington, one of the most popular villages in the Yorkshire Dales. Lovingly restored and individually styled, Blacksmith Cottage has been elegantly furnished to provide quality accommodation in a wonderful location. The property offers superb facilities over one floor with a well-equipped kitchen, an open plan living area and a delightful king-size bed and chaise longue. A perfect romantic retreat or simply somewhere to get away from it all and enjoy Dales life at its finest, Blacksmith Cottage is a minute's walk from the village's wide range of shops and pubs, while Grassington's Dickensian weekends and festivals are not to be missed! The surrounding area is a walker's paradise, offering beautiful walks along the river to Linton Falls, as well as more challenging walks into the nearby hills. A superb holiday base in a great location. Note: Blacksmith Cottage can be booked with Ref 2832 to sleep 4.

With traditional stone cottages and shops clustered around the cobbled market place, Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and offers exceptional shopping facilities for a settlement of its size. With a monthly farmer's market offering a mouth-watering range of organic and home-made produce from farms nearby, it's easy for visitors to discover real, local food. This is also an excellent area for walking with the River Wharfe and extensive Grass Woods to the north offering stunning scenery as a backdrop. Bolton Abbey with its Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous "Strid Walk" is close by and offers a number of interesting sights as does the elegant town of Ilkley, situated in the shadow of the famous Ilkley Moor.
