Guests say

Lane House is a spacious and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful, peaceful rural setting, ideal for families, walkers, and dog owners. Guests praise the comfortable beds, excellent bathroom, and lovely countryside walks from the door. The property is warm and inviting, with thoughtful touches and good amenities nearby. Some guests noted the access track is rough and the garden could be more secure for dogs or children, but overall, the house offers a relaxing and memorable stay in the Yorkshire Dales.

Most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, though a few mentioned areas needing a deeper clean and some untidiness in the garden. One review highlighted issues with appliances and general cleanliness, but this was not a universal experience.

The location is highly praised for its stunning scenery, tranquillity, and direct access to countryside walks. The rural setting is a highlight, though the narrow, unmade access track is noted as a challenge for some vehicles.

Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, a warm house even in colder months, and a relaxing atmosphere. The spacious layout and luxurious bathroom add to the overall comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a log burner, jacuzzi bath, and games for children. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, such as garden security for dogs and a need for occasional deep cleaning.

Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as Christmas decorations and welcome gifts like prosecco, though these are not guaranteed. The owners are described as helpful and attentive, with good communication and attention to detail.

We enjoyed our stay at lane house. It's very well equipped and spacious. However the track to get to it is very rocky and uneven so therefore making it tricky to navigate without a 4x4. Also farm vehicles do come up and down quite fast so mind if bringing small children. My children loved the air hockey and table football. We had a very peaceful stay and would stay again.

The general cleanliness was not up to standard for a house of supposedly premium quality and expense. Photos will be passed on to cottages.com as to certain aspects that need addressing such as cleanliness of fridges, washing machine and dishwasher. Plus general cleanliness of the whole house.Decoration needs a lot to be desired as it was all one colour from top to bottom making it a fairly depressing sight.Rear garden was untidy and not dog secure. This was a revisit from us from a few years ago, but it was then, of a much higher standard.

A lovely holiday houseIts up a steep unmade track, no good if you have a sportscar - its a lovely house with all that could need. Plenty warm enough (we had rain and snow in March) beds very comfortable - shower ok. Plenty of mobile signal which is brilliant given the remote location.Hope to find time to come back. Owner very helpful, thank you.
