This delightful, Grade II listed, former chapel, adjacent to the owners’ home, is steeped in history and is tucked away in a wonderful, rural location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. As such, it enjoys beautiful views over spectacular countryside. The cottage provides romantic holiday accommodation and offers a wonderful home from which to walk direct from the door, with links along the Dales Way between Grassington and Kettlewell. For those who like climbing, Kilnsey Crag is at hand, and offers some of the most challenging climbs in the area. Alternatively, Grassington is approximately 4 miles, and has a wide variety of country shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. In summer, you can enjoy Grassington Festival, which attracts well-known celebrities, and during winter it offers the Dickensian Festival. Shop 3 miles.

We loved the chapel. It was cosy and warm and beautifully decorated to a high standard. There was ample room for our dog to run around the enclosed garden and there was a very informative guest book with details of where to go to explore and eat. We loved the classic features of the chapel like the stable door and the tiny windows. The facilities were very good and we didn’t feel cramped at all even with our very large dog. One point to note was that the freezer is an integral inside the fridge so it’s not very big but we managed to keep everything cool. We did have one tiny problem whilst there when the handle of the shower came loose but the maintenance team fixed it the same day.

Described as ‘ quirky’ but in reality very small! The ground floor is only a galley kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs is a bedroom with two armchairs! These have to be positioned about a foot away from a 50 inch television on which you can get very little as there is no aerial etc.The kitchen is new, has a complicated hob if you are not used to the induction method of cooking. and a multi function microwave.. Once we got used to it we had a great stay, the surrounding area is stunning made even more so because of the February weather.Easy improvements could be made: cooking oil, foil and cling film, tea and coffee, microwaveable containers! Although the four poster king size bed was impressive, a smaller bed would create more space in the room to relax as it is the only sitting space.Also a visitors book would give others an idea of what is available in the area, we are not all walkers!

Lovely stay at The Chapel. The accommodation was clean, tidy and very well equipped. The kitchen was fully supplied with utensils and cleaning supplies. The bed was clean and comfortable. The information package was really informative, all information regarding the accommodation and surroundings was excellent. Check in was easy using a key safe and the arrival instructions were very clear. The garden was well maintained and secure for our dog. We had a great stay here and would recommend to others!
