This is a beautifully decorated welcoming holiday cottage. It is essentially a studio apartment on the end of a terrace house. It has one main kitchen living area with. En-suite shower and WC downstairs with the bed on aMezzanine above. The only downsides to this are the steeply sloping roof so if you sleep in the slope sode of the bed you cannot sit up/ stand to get out of bed , you have to shimmy. If you need th loo in the night it’s quite a performance. We’re both 5ft 11 and keptBashing our heads. . We were there during the Amber heatwave and it was warm upstairs especially when the day time temperature hit 32 ( in Skipton!!!) There is a nice private garden area which was sunny in the morning and very shaded by the afternoon which was perfect for the crazily warm weather. The hosts were lovely and we loved the little welcome selection of biscuits and banana cake!

Had a lovely break at the Coal House. Celebrating my birthday and our 45th wedding Anniversary.Richard the host was so helpful as we had an issue with our vehicle.10 minute walk into Skipton plenty of bars & eateries. Can highly recommend the Golden Lion. The castle is definitely worth a visit and the Castle woods. Our little dog loved exploring.Grassington is such a pretty village and Malham cove is lovely to see. Although too busy and couldn't find a park. The weather was lovely so that was a bonus.

The Coal House is a really gorgeous space and Richard has thought of everything you might need during your stay So often kitchens have things missing or are aimed at people eating out not actually cooking - but even though it’s a tiny home we were able to cook, eat, work and relax here Would definitely recommend and would book again when working in Skipton
