Some guests note the steep access and driveway as minor challenges, and mention that the garden is not fully secure for dogs. Overall, the property offers a relaxing and memorable stay in a picturesque setting.

Cleanliness is consistently praised, with multiple guests describing the cottage as spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and feeling like a dog-free house despite being pet-friendly.

Lovely, comfortable place to stay in probably the best spot in the best village - view is wonderful could spend hours in the sun room watching the sky ever changing. Always been a regular walker and visitor to Kettlewell, but found great new walks - Great Whernside still the best!

The cottage was well presented, clean and comfortable. The garden looks out into a beautiful view of the dales and is very pretty. Kettlewell is a pretty village with a shop for necessities, a couple of pubs and an ice cream parlour. Getting down to the village is a steep walk - not good for older people or those with mobility issues. The parking at the cottage was ample for two cars - there is a shared gate and drive so you need to park on the grass, which is fine. The gateway into the property is a bit tight for larger vehicles and cars with lower suspension need to take care when exiting as there is not much clearance above the tarmac. The house itself was pretty with two comfortable double bedrooms. The twin room was quite snug - fine for children though. The upstairs bathroom was small as it is in the eves but had a large walk-in shower. It’s advisable to take food with you for your first night - shops are a car ride away in nearby villages such as Threshfield or Grassington. The cottage is situated near to lovely local villages and towns although roads are usually quite narrow and winding and very steep at times. My family and I are not walkers but I know there are lots of opportunities for walking around the area. On the whole, a lovely place although a little out of the way for us.
