Guests consistently praise Lovesome Cottage for its stunning views, cosy atmosphere, and welcoming hosts. The hot tub is a highlight, offering relaxation with scenic farm views. The property's cleanliness and location are commended, providing a peaceful retreat with easy access to local attractions. While the bed size and fly issues are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment, with many guests planning return visits.

Cleanliness

The cottage is generally described as very clean, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. However, one review mentioned a fly infestation, which suggests room for improvement in pest control.

Location

The location is highly praised for its beautiful scenery and peacefulness, with easy access to local sights. The proximity to a main road was noted but did not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback on location.

Comfort

Comfort is well-regarded, with the cottage described as cosy and homely. However, multiple reviews mention the bed being small and uncomfortable for taller guests, which affects the comfort score.

About this property

Northallerton 3.5 miles. This beautiful detached cottage on the owners' working livestock and arable farm is situated close to the town of Northallerton in North Yorkshire. This cottage is ideal for a romantic break set in a secluded location but close enough to explore the surrounding area. There is one step up to the front door, where you step into a lovely open plan area which has a kitchen and dining area together with a comfortable double bed and sitting area. This room leads through to a separate sitting area with a two-seater settee and occasional chair, and a woodburner to use if the weather turns a little cold. Through the patio doors there is a peaceful garden where you will find a fantastic hot tub with the most magnificent views. There are two steps up to the hot tub and a convenient cloakroom with shower, basin and WC for you to use either before or after you have soaked away the pains of your many walks. The town of Northallerton is only a short drive away and there are two weekly markets as well as fabulous restaurants, tea rooms and shops. Further afield is the spa town of Harrogate, the historic city of York and the coastal resorts of Saltburn and Whitby. You can also explore the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks, both with plenty of places to visit.

Northallerton is a County town and administrative centre of North Yorkshire, located at the foot of a ridge dividing two river basin areas, the Wiske and the Cod Beck, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of the Vale of York, between the Hambleton Hills and the Yorkshire Dales.
