Enjoy learning more about the owners’ farm as you follow the designated walking route – cows graze in the fields behind the cottages and you may even be able to collect fresh eggs from the resident chickens en route. Sinderby is within 8 miles of the market towns of Ripon, Masham, Bedale and Thirsk, while Harrogate is 20 miles away. Just 21 miles away, Helmsley sits within the North York Moors National Park and is home to a delicious selection of independent food shops as well as a medieval castle and a National Centre for Birds of Prey. A similar distance in the opposite direction, Pateley Bridge is at the heart of the Nidderdale landscape, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and immediately adjacent to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. No visit would be complete without a stop at the self-proclaimed 'Oldest Sweet Shop in England', dating back to the early 1800s.
