Here you’ll experience a sense of peace and tranquillity being deep in the countryside and yet under two miles from the picturesque town of Pateley Bridge having a variety of independent shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, and other amenities. Centred on a network of local footpaths and close to sections of the Nidderdale way and Pennine way the location is ideal for those who love walking. Whether you’re looking for gentle walks or more of a challenge you’ll find trails along rivers Nidd and Wharfe, around the many nearby reservoirs, or high on the hills and moors above Nidderdale and Wharfedale. For cyclists many great routes are on the doorstep including the Tour de France and Yorkshire challenges of Greenhow Hill and Blubberhouses Hill. Local attractions include Stump Cross Caverns, The Coldstones Cut – a walkthrough sculpture leading to a spectacular far-reaching view, and Toft Gate Lime Kiln.

A fantastic place to stay. Perfect for exploring the area. Perfect host. The welcome pack was exceptional and not expected. You need to be a confident driver for the area as lots of single carriage roads. Brimham Rocks was brilliant and a trip to Ilkley is well worth it.
