Centred on a network of local footpaths and close to sections of the Nidderdale way and Pennine way the location is ideal for those who love walking. Whether you’re looking for gentle walks or more of a challenge you’ll find trails along rivers Nidd and Wharfe, around the many nearby reservoirs, or high on the hills and moors above Nidderdale and Wharfedale. For cyclists many great routes are on the doorstep including the Tour de France and Yorkshire challenges of Greenhow Hill and Blubberhouses Hill. Local attractions include Stump Cross Caverns, The Coldstones Cut – a walkthrough sculpture leading to a spectacular far-reaching view, and Toft Gate Lime Kiln.

The location is secluded but that was exactly what we wanted. It was nice and peaceful with stunning views, and we loved watching the lambs in the field from directly out the window. Very clean and fully equipped property with a lovely host and family nearby. The local town is in walking distance and from the places we visited it was very dog friendly.

Very nice property in nice location but it is a bit remote (however we wanted that!). Excellent host and lovely welcome with unexpected fizz and bread, milk etc for us when we arrived. Very comfortable bed and great shower! Every amenity you could want for a self catering holiday! Would love to come back and see the views in the summer!
