Enjoying a superb location with views across to Stags Fell this detached stone bungalow surrounded by dramatic hills and fells is set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in Upper Wensleydale. Recently refurbished, Swallowdale is equipped and furnished to a high standard with a cosy open fire. Shaw Gill Wood stands to the rear of the property, with its series of pretty waterfalls and a wonderful display of bluebells in the Spring. An excellent base to explore the whole of the Dales with walks from the doorstep, a 20 minute stroll takes you to Hardraw Force, England’s highest unbroken waterfall above ground, with the Pennine Way and the ’Buttertubs’ Pass nearby.

Lovely cottage in peaceful location, lots of villages to visit and lovely walks from doorstep. Cottage lacks for nothing and lots of birds visit the feeder along with pheasant rabbit and red squirrels.

We had a wonderful stay at Swallowdale. No issues what so ever & nothing to fault. It was clean, comfotable furniture and a well equiped kitchen, plus plenty of towels.We enjoyed many walks from the door ( we did not use our car at all during the week). It was lovley to see the red squirrel and numerous gardens birds on the feeder (we did buy extra seed & nuts in Hawes so the visitor to use).We will be back....
