These semi-detached farmhouses The Barnhouse (ref W42980) and The Farmhouse (ref W42979) have been carefully co-ordinated throughout and are set within the grounds of the Caravan Club site in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. As such, they enjoy breath-taking views of the surrounding open countryside.
Walk direct from the door over the nearby moors or take a 5-minute stroll into the nearby traditional market town of Hawes. Here you will find a good mix of shops with something for everyone including antiques, traditional country clothing, fashion and gift shops interspersed with tea shops, restaurants and pubs. Alternatively visit the Wensleydale Creamery, famous for its cheese endorsed by Wallace and Gromit or visit the Dales Centre Museum. Nearby Semerwater, a large, natural lake provides a wealth of activities such as swimming, fishing (licence required) and sailing. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

The Farm House is in an excellent location in a corner of the Hawes Caravan & Motorhome Site. The house is somewhat tired and could do with some redecoration. However, the fundamentals are very good. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The lounge furniture was of good quality and the TV perfectly fine. The upstairs bathroom water pressure could have been better, however and there were no blinds on the main stairwell and inner kitchen window. The parking was ample. Would we stay there again, yes we would. As a bonus, the wardens managing the site were very helpful.

Sofas are a bit low down for taller people. In need of a lick of paint in dining area. FIRE DOORS ARE VERY NOISY WHEN CLOSING SHUT.

This is a clean, comfortable and spacious house in a great location. Just a short walk into Hawes for shops, cafes, pubs and takeaways. Walk out of the site and quickly find many beautiful dales walks such as to the Green Dragon inn in Hardraw. Particularly good for dog owners because of the small enclosed garden and close proximity to a great enclosed dog walking area on the caravan site. Peaceful and quiet too.
