Visitors can now enjoy all modern day facilities amidst the ambience of a traditional country cottage. The beamed living room has a lovely multi-fuel burner, perfect for relaxing after day’s out walking or sightseeing. Perfect for a family holiday, the owner has provided a number of baby/toddler items, including a dining chair booster seat, highchair, travel cot, mattress and mattress protector (please bring own fitted sheet), a single child’s step, a bed guard to fit a single bed and plastic children’s cups, cutlery and tableware. As well as this all the bedding is synthetic and non-allergenic, allowing you to get a full night’s shut-eye without any allergy flare-ups.
On the doorstep there are numerous independent shops, street market, restaurants, pubs and cafés alongside historic attractions and museums, including the medieval castle, the stunning Saxon church with its 15th century wall paintings and Beck Isle Museum. The famous steam train departs from Pickering, transporting visitors on a scenic journey through ’Heartbeat Country’ to the ancient fishing port of Whitby. This area is excellent for both walkers and cyclists, with miles of beautiful walks through the North York Moors National Park and Dalby Forest. Family fun can be found at the Go Ape Adventure Centre and Flamingo Land and there are miles of sandy beaches along the Heritage Coast. Explore the smugglers coves at Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay and the traditional seaside resorts at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.

Four Seasons met all our requirements. We found it very clean and tidy. The location is excellent with ample amenities within walking distance. Although the front faced a main road the we experienced minimal noise intrusion. The main access was at the rear opening onto an enclosed private yard which in turn opened onto the parking area which was clearly marked outside the cottage gate in a large yard shared by surrounding properties. We were pleased to be able to have our two dogs with us. We found ample walking opportunities with much variety starting from the cottage. The cottage provided us with comfortable living experience. We will definitely welcome a return visit.

A great base for us to explore the wider area. Pickering has a lovely town centre to explore with very welcoming people. We will be back to stay in Four Seasons.

The cottage is cosy and very well equipped,.The location is perfect and the private parking space was an added bonus. We would not hesitate to book again.
