A lovely semi-detached cottage, converted from a former stable, on the owner's family-run livestock and arable farm, set in the heart of the pretty village of Levisham. Tastefully and imaginatively converted to provide attractive and comfortable open-plan accommodation, this light and airy property has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. With a shared walled garden and easy access to both the moors and the coast, this charming cottage makes an excellent holiday base.
The charming and tiny village of Levisham lies six miles to the north of Pickering and consists of delightful stone cottages, farms and a village green. There is a church and pub in the village, whilst there are shops 6 miles away in Pickering. The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck, which flows along a steep, wooded valley and culminates in a small waterfall and water mill at its foot. There is a labyrinth of footpaths and trails through some breathtaking scenery and the station at Levisham is a stopping point for the North York Steam Railway. The area is perfectly placed for exploring all the historic houses, castles, towns and villages in this stunning and diverse region.

We had access to an enclosed lawned garden immediately opposite for our dog with seating and tables. The property was situated in a model village with very wide and well kept wide grass verges and a wonderful pub offering superb food. There is easy access to extensive common ground and footpaths and quick access to Levisham Station on the North Yorks Steam Railway. We thank Heather for a lovely and memorable stay.
