This thoughtfully renovated cottage is full of character, with exposed stonework and traditional features, and has been carefully designed to offer comfort and practicality for up to four guests. With virtually no light pollution in the area, it’s the perfect place for stargazing on clear nights. The front door opens into a welcoming dining kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances you’ll have everything you need to enjoy self-catering in style.
A door from the kitchen leads to a ground-floor twin bedroom with French doors that open onto the rear patio and garden, creating a bright and airy space. Next to the bedroom is a modern shower room with a wash basin and toilet. An open doorway from the kitchen leads into a cosy living room, complete with a sofa, armchairs, and a fireplace with an electric stove—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Up a steep staircase from the living room is the master bedroom, featuring a king-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet.
Outside, there’s a small, enclosed garden at the front, and to the rear, a patio and long lawned garden—ideal for soaking up the sunshine or dining alfresco. There is ample parking on the gravel driveway. From your doorstep, discover scenic walking and cycling trails across the North York Moors, while the dramatic Yorkshire Coastline is just a short drive away. Spend the day exploring Filey, Robin Hood’s Bay, or Whitby, before returning to the peace and charm of Manor House Farm Cottage.

There is some construction currently taking place on a nearby building close to Manor Farm and Smithy. The builders are aware of the holiday cottages and will do their best to keep any disruption to a minimum. The works will be in place until 5th October 2025

Enjoyed our stay in the cottage, perfect location, with lovely garden. Unresolved ongoing problem with a plumbing leak though didn’t really affect us. A door curtain between the lounge and kitchen would make the experience more cosy in the winter evenings, though underfloor heating kept everywhere warm enough

We had the most wonderful stay at Manor House Farm Cottage super clean a very well equipped kitchen and the most comfortable bed! We enjoyed trips to Sandsend , Whitby , Filey and Hunmanby Gap along with Malton. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in the middle of nowhere this is the place for you.
