Guests say

Guests have enjoyed the charming setting of 2 Station Cottages, with its cosy living space, friendly local atmosphere, and delightful animal neighbours. The property's location offers easy access to local attractions and beaches. While some guests have praised the welcome pack and the views, others have noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

The cleanliness of the property has received mixed feedback. While not explicitly mentioned by all, one review highlighted significant cleanliness issues, including cobwebs, dirty items, and broken glass in the outdoor area, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to local tourist attractions and beaches. However, concerns about parking and noise from a nearby level crossing have been noted, slightly diminishing the overall satisfaction with the location.

The property is described as cosy with a large conservatory and garden. Comfort is affected by some negative remarks about the beds and furniture, but the presence of a log burner and the views are positives.

Facilities have received mixed reviews. Guests have mentioned a lack of certain kitchen items and issues with the shower and hot tap. The property is also described as a bit run down, indicating a need for updates and better maintenance.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in mentions of a generous welcome pack. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and not all reviews mention them, this score reflects the positive feedback without setting an expectation of gifts for future guests.

Conservatory at the cottage had nice views over fields and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. Also at night we saw meteor showers which we enjoyed. Charlie the horse and Delilah the donkey were really great. My daughter loved feeding them carrots. The most generous welcome pack weve ever had from the hosts. Thank you. Great walks all round the area. Love the beaches which are a few mins away by car and you can take your pick of. A fair choice of places to eat and honeypot local or drive to flixton or filey was our choice. Although the cottage location allows you easily to pick brid, flamborough or filey. Cottage was value for money and we would stay again

Hunmanby Gap is a superb beach although there is a bit of a hike down from the car park. There is a cafe close by for light lunches which was very welcome. The cottage itself is a little run down and could do with a deep clean. Clothes storage was challenging as the drawers in the bedrooms are also used for bed linens. They could have been stored in a chest in the store cupboard off the kitchen However the garden is large and lovely for dogs. A BBQ would have been very welcome as would a tumble drier. A bottle of bubbly and a basket full of goodies went down well. Parking is easy outside on the road.

2 Station Cottage. Comfortable and spacious. Excellent location, very peaceful. Especially loved the neighbours in the field, Charlie and Hardy (horses) and Delilah, the donkey who came for their carrotts every day. Lovely welcome package. We will definitely come back.
